Bojana Dalbelo Bašić, PhD, full professor

Education. BSc in Mathematics 1982, and MSc degree in 1993 and PhD degree in 1997, both in Computer Science at University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing.

Scientific interest. Her scientific interest is focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, data and text mining, natural language processing, information retrieval.

Scientific projects. She was a main coordinator of following projects: Belgium-Croatian (2007-2009) and French-Croatian (2007-2008), two projects financed by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, one financed by CARNet and several projects founded by Croatian companies. At the moment she is a principal investigator of scientific project „Knowledge Discovery in Textual Data“. She participated as a collaborator in three scientific and five international projects.

Published items. She is co-author of two books; she published more than 60 scientific papers, 5 of them in journals quoted in current contents/science citation index. She participated in many international and domestic scientific conferences.

Membership. She is a reviewer for several scientific journals and international conferences. She is active in popularization of science and she gave several invited talks. She is a chair of one Track of the Knowledge Engineering System Conference. She is a member and a co-founder of the Croatian Society for Language Technology, and she is a member of the IEEE society, Croatian Mathematical Society and Croatian Biometric Society.
