Velimir IĆĄgum, PhD, associate professor

Education. BSc degree in 1971, MSc degree in 1978 and PhD degree in 1983 at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

Scientific interest. His fields of scientific interest are biomedical engineering, biomedical signal analysis, electroencephalography, sensory, motor and cognitive evoked potentials, sensory and cognitive stimulation, non-linear signal analysis, intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring, brain mapping and source analysis.

Scientific projects. He is currently a principal investigator of one scientific project of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport of the Republic of Croatia and one European project of European Scientific Foundation coordinated trough the National Foundation for Science, Higher Education and Technological Development of the Republic of Croatia. He also collaborates in two technological projects of the Ministry of Science. He was a principal investigator of one more national scientific project and one technological project.

Published items. He published 20 indexed scientific papers, 3 of them in journals quoted in current contents with 68 citation and 56 papers presented at national and international conferences. He is a reviewer for one scientific journal; he also reviewed university handbooks.

Membership. He is a member of International federation for Medical and Biological Engineering, International Society for Intraoperative Neurophysiology, Croatian Society for Medical and Biological Engineering (past president of Clinical Engineering section), Croatian Society for Neuroscience, Croatian Society for Medical Informatics, and Croatian Neurophysiological Society.
