Zrinka Jelaska, PhD, associate professor

Education. BS degree in 1979, MA degree in 1984 and PhD degree in 1997 at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Philosophy.

Scientific interest. Her scientific interest is focused on Croatian language, morphology, phonology, second language acquisition.

Scientific projects. She was the principal investigator at 3 scientific projects of the Ministry of science, education and sport of the Republic of Croatia (Croatian as a foreign language – developmental grammar and lexicon, Croatian as a second and foreign language, Croatian as a first and second language), she was the principal investigator of one bi-lateral Croatian-Macedonian project (Status of Croatian and Macedonian Language in Educational System of Multilingual Environment). She was the coordinator of one Matra-Kap programme and a collaborator of two international projects.

Published items. She is the main editor of one journal and a reviewer for several Croatian scientific journals. She wrote two books, edited two, published 46 book chapters, and around 50 scientific papers. She participated in the work of numerous international and domestic scientific congresses. She was the member of organization board of two domestic and two international congresses.

Membership. Since 1990 she is a director of the University school of Croatian language and culture, University of Zagreb.
